Launched in 2021, Decathlon Marketplace is a one-stop shop for everything sports-related and one of Decathlon's fastest-growing ventures. Operating in over 13 countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong, and India, we are now scaling our platform to accelerate growth and innovation.

Your Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of Sellers on Decathlon’s Marketplace, collaborating with them to expand their product selection, enhance the customer experience, and grow their revenue.

  • Build strong relationships with partners by understanding their individual needs, conducting regular check-ins, and offering tailored support.

  • Onboard new Sellers with an introductory meeting, providing dedicated guidance throughout their initial journey.

  • Offer timely support for ad hoc issues and escalations, focusing on maximising partner retention while feeding insights and solutions into the Marketplace roadmap to enhance the Seller experience.

  • Monitor Seller performance through analytics, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including delivery promises, product and seller reviews, and return rates.

Strategy and Programme Management

  • Develop and implement strategies to provide scalable support for a broad range of Sellers.

  • Recommend additional Decathlon services (e.g., international duplication, fulfilment, and data solutions) and promotional strategies to help partners grow their business.

  • Lead strategic initiatives to drive Marketplace growth and improve both the customer and Seller experiences, such as seasonal planning (e.g., Black Friday), feature rollouts, and KPI optimisation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the management of offers, stock, and delivery experiences for Sellers.

  • Collaborate with teams across Marketplace functions, including Business Development, Finance, Onboarding, and Customer Service, as well as other Decathlon stakeholders.

  • Deliver key updates and insights in regular departmental meetings, ensuring alignment and visibility.

  • Share and adopt best practices by exchanging knowledge with Marketplace Account Managers from other Decathlon countries.

WHO ARE YOU?

 

  • A sports enthusiast!

  • Experience in working with marketplaces and interacting with merchants is a plus. 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (written and oral) with external partners, able to manage on various management levels.

  • Startup and hands-on mentality, fast and agile with confidence working autonomously.

  • Strong cross-functional experience and proven ability to work collaboratively and through others. 

  • Ideally, 2 years of experience in partner success/account management roles. However, motivation is more important.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Experience within the sporting goods industry is a plus.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This hybrid role would require the successful candidate to attend at least three days a week in our office in London (Surrey Quays)
