Decathlon UK is one of the latest Customs zones in Decathlon Global and the acceleration of direct DPP procurements is one of the major tactics in the UK’s Fit & Efficient strategy. This project targets higher profitability, better product availability, and stock optimization. 

 

Considering the increase in DPP purchases we are recruiting a Customer Procurement manager to handle some of the critical industrial processes to achieve the best procurement solutions in a total cost of ownership mindset. 

 

As a Customer Procurement Manager, you will collaborate with multiple teammates from Supply, Production, Industrial processes, Commercial, and Logistics and build a procurement policy that understands the customer requirements (Shared by the RS & Commercial ) and propose the best supply solution by deciding the supplier, negotiating the price, supply methods and securing the production capacity. Your primary focus will be to build the best supplier panel that enhances Profitability, Availability, and Stock Rotation within the UK market. 

 

We are looking for someone, who is motivated to collaborate and challenge teammates from all around the world to achieve the best procurement solutions. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build 2 years procurement project for the CZ.

    • Write, communicate & implement a 2- 3 years Procurement Policy based on Industrial process/CZ.

    • Build the next season’s milestone calendar and project management.

    • Co-write a recovery plan in the event of a supply crisis in cooperation with Strategic Buyer, Sports & Production.

    • Build Tactical Planning at a supermodel level by tactical sharing & interacting with Sports & Production.

  • Decide Procurement solutions for next season by leading S&OP.

    • Manage the Request for Quotations with the supply and production team.

    • Validate supplier sharings at the model level in a Total Cost of Ownership (eTCO) mindset ensuring availability and profitability for the entire value chain.

    • Detect Tactical-Operational demand vs Capacity alerts and react at the model level (quantities, seasonality, uncertainty, flexibility needs, Sharings).

    • Optimise supply agility (MTO, MTS, MOT, Components Supply).

    • Lead Operational S&OP process in collaboration with Sports/ Production/ Supplier.

 

  • Assure the best Procurement conditions during the season.

    • Detect & solve operational-executive demand & production alerts and react at a model level.

    • Perform the necessary planning gestures to prepare for the season, during the season, and for the season closure, to secure the best availability.

    • Co-arbitrate complex capacity and components conflicts during the season aiming at zero destruction.

    • Pilot the business activity & act accordingly towards ensuring the respect of S&OP.

Specific requirements/Work environment:

 

 This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least three days a week in our Offices in London (Surrey Quays).
