As a Bike Mechanic in our workshop you’ll be providing high quality bike maintenance and repair services to help our customers enjoy their bikes for longer. To put it simply, the purpose of your role is to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems whilst ensuring that your customers receive the best experience in the process. You’ll also be involved in recycling and repairing defective bikes in-store, which means that you’ll play an integral part in achieving our collective mission to help preserve our planet.

The Role:
Are you a bike enthusiast with a knack for fixing things? Do you believe in sustainable practices and want to make a positive impact on the environment? Join us as a Bike Mechanic/Workshop Technician at Decathlon! You’ll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing bicycles, helping us deliver top-quality service while promoting our commitment to the circular economy.
What You’ll Do:

Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair a wide range of bicycles, ensuring they are safe and ready for the road. From minor tune-ups to complex repairs, you’ll handle it all.

Refurbishment: Give pre-owned and returned bikes a new lease on life by refurbishing them to like-new condition. Contribute to our upcycling efforts by creatively reusing parts and components.

Customer Support: Provide expert advice to customers, helping them understand the best ways to maintain their bikes. Offer guidance on repairs and upgrades, and educate them on the importance of regular maintenance.

Promote Sustainability: Be a champion for Decathlon’s sustainability initiatives. Encourage customers to repair and reuse their bikes, and support our efforts to reduce waste through bike trade-in programs and the sale of refurbished bikes.

Workshop Management: Keep our workshop organized, ensure tools are in top condition, and manage inventory levels to keep the shop running smoothly.
Who You Are:
- You have experience in bike maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of bike mechanics.
- You’re passionate about cycling and committed to sustainable practices.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- You’re a great communicator, able to explain technical information in a way that’s easy for customers to understand.
- You’re a team player who can also work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- You’re eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest in bike technology and repair techniques.
