Decathlon Guildford is a 1700 sq m store and it is situated over 3 floors, in the town centre. Opened in December 2017, the store is located in the south east, only 35 min direct train journey from London and 45 min from Portsmouth.
THE MISSION
As a Department Manager, your role is to ensure all customers leave our stores happy. From a friendly and professional welcome to a quick and easy payment process, your role is to always deliver a champion shopping experience.
Grow local omnichannel performance in my sports (DM):
- Build and lead the best commercial offer, organise efficient seasonal changes for the sports you will manage;
- Ensure good sales and customer relations performance for the store through services and product purchases;
- Ensure Department Commerciality all year around with seasonal priorities and qualitative commercial areas as for recommendations from the Commercial Team; .
- Ensure that physical and digital layout areas perform well.
- Lead on safety and eco-responsibility.
- Manage and achieve commercial objectives and profitability for the omnichannel business (instore/outstore).
Manage a team (Leader)
- Animate the Management Scheme scheme ( individual Mission, individual meeting, Remuneration, Performance) by integrating the challenges of transformations.
- Develop teammates’ autonomy through caring and demanding feedback, trainings and development plan.
- Respect and enforce all staff legal rules
Manage the store’s daily operations performance (duty manager)
- Manage store security
- Oversee teammates’ availability
- Manage product availability

Additional Information:
As a Department Manager you will be required to work usual retail hours including evenings and weekends. The role will be shop-floor based with full Covid-19 safety regulations and precautions in place. The safety of our teammates and customers is our main priority during these times.
