Role responsibilities:

  • You’ll be responsible for delivering the SEO strategy for Decathlon in the UK

  • Driving organic customer acquisition and business growth

  • Working with UX & website teams to improve technical foundations / website architecture

  • Assisting with cohesive strategy creation and initiatives, reporting to the Head of

Performance Marketing

  • Supporting wider marketing and communication objectives

  • Manage the SEO agency, as well as co-ordinate external and internal copywriter resources.

  • Working with international technical teams to ensure best SEO practices are properly implemented and UK needs are prioritised on SEO roadmaps

  • Measuring, reporting and analysing ongoing projects and campaigns

  • Researching and implementing recommendations for new SEO opportunities

  • Competitive analysis and market research

  • Manage the SEO budget, and present return on investment and any future investment opportunities.

 

About yourself:

  • You’ve been in the SEO industry for at least 5-6 years with proven results

  • You have excellent analytical, organisational and project management skills

  • You’re a talented communicator and enjoy sharing your successes with internal stakeholders

  • You have great attention to detail

  • Time management is a skill of yours

  • You are passionate and eager to learn

  • You are fluent in English (native level)

 

Professional skills and & qualifications (*desired but not mandatory):

  • You’re used to working with and manipulating large data sets (crawlers & log file analysis)

  • Strong technical knowledge.

  • Experience working with SEO / digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, OnCrawl, enterprise content management tools, Yext.)

  • Experience working with CMS and building / administering content in CMS environment

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/ JavaScript and website administration

  • *Python coding knowledge*
