Decathlon UK is amidst an exiting brand transformation journey and the Brand & Marketing Communications Manager will play a key role to help shape Decathlon UK, by building brand awareness and our brand credentials with impactful and amazing communications.

 

You'll take full ownership of your projects, from helping to develop the brand strategy and customer propositions, to briefing and managing creative and media agencies, to activating and evaluating market leading brand campaigns. You will be part of the UK Marketing & Communications team and will report into the Head of Brand.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • You’ll play a key role in leading and developing brand communications and campaigns to drive brand awareness, reach and business objectives

  • Lead the end-to-end process of briefing, project management, development and signing-off brand campaigns and propositions.  

  • Manage the media strategy working closely with our agency to deliver advertising plans including TV, digital, OOH and partnerships.

  • Be the brand champion to ensure communications align to the brand guidelines and are consistent across marketing channels.

  • Manage brand partnerships that deliver on brand awareness, reach and  are aligned to our brand values.

  • You’ll use insights, trends and data to inform your decisions and develop meaningful communications

  • Collaboration with marketing channel leads to ensure integration and synergies across communications e.g. social media, PR, CRM.

  • Ensure all teams are engaged into various stages of the process – Commercial, Digital, Retail and marketing channels. 

  • Post campaign analysis and reporting. 

  • KPIs: Increase in traffic & revenue,  brand awareness, ROI of marketing investments, budget management, as well as cost management and optimisation.

 

Who are you?

  • Passionate about sports!

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing Communications

  • 5+ years experience in a marketing or brand communications role in an agency or in-house

  • Experience with managing external agencies, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • A keen creative eye for detail and know what good looks like

  • Creatively adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity

  • Ability to react quickly to tactical commercial changes, culturally relevant or seasonally relevant needs to ensure we have the right message, in the right channels, at the right time. 

  • Organised, have strong time management skills, and can easily juggle multiple projects

  • A team player that hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment 

  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and have the ability to work quickly and efficiently
