As a print and digital designer, your role will be to ensure the consistency of the Decathlon brand image in the UK market through a variety of design projects. With the wider design team, you will take the lead of all the graphic needs coming from our different departments and stores, making sure high-quality creative solutions are always provided following the Concept Guidelines. Your work will be used across multiple customer touch points, both in print and digital.
You will be part of the UK Marketing Communication team and will report directly to the Head of Content. You will take full ownership of your projects, from briefs, to production, quality control and timely delivery of the assets.
You will work on a series of design projects ranging from ads for the printed or online press, leaflets and catalogues for the stores, custom in-store signage, programmatic banners, paid social advertising, internal and external communication campaigns.
You will ensure all brand guidelines, concept and tone of voice are consistent throughout all deliverables.
You will work closely with the other designers (and the Marketing Communication team as a whole) to ensure clear and consistent communication, keeping all parties informed of the advancement of each project.
You will continuously seek to improve the company’s approach to design with thorough knowledge and research of trends, best practices, digital advancements, new tools and competitors.
On a day to day basis you will collaborate with the other designers, copywriters and campaign managers to get the best creative output for Decathlon.
You will have a strong understanding of key graphic design & marketing principles
You have design experience in both print and digital, working either on the client or agency side
You have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Graphic Design
Collaborative, able to ideate and construct ideas within a team-based creative environment
Technically solid, able to bring to life ideas and visualize design stories across a variety of media
You have skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Strong typographic/crafting skills
Great sketching skills and idea development techniques to create and communicate concepts
You have experience with external providers to build strong long-lasting relationships
You are interested in the world of design as well as the latest trends and tools
You have a keen eye for detail
You are passionate about sports
You are a team player with strong communication skills, who has a natural sense of service to help others.
Creatively adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity
You are organized, have strong time management skills, and can multitask comfortably
You are open minded and can easily adapt to change
You are self-motivated and have the ability to work quickly and efficiently
Basic video editing experience
