Financial Expert in Real Estate and Taxes

The Context

To accompany the UK Business, Decathlon UK Finance Team is currently looking for a new team mate!

The Role

As UK Financial Expert in Real Estate and Taxes based in London Headquarter, your role will be as follows:

Real Estate Expert:

  • Expert for the Financial Business Partners (FBP) in understanding and following the building costs (rent, service charge)

  • Accompany FBP on the trajectory for building costs

  • Manage administration and Compliance of our Real estate company

  • Bi-annual Audit control for our Real Estate Entity

  • Be the POC for communication between FBP, Legal and Expansion teams

  • Business Rates payments and computation

  • CIS taxes as applicable for the entities

  • Accompany the team on the IFRS 16 Transition

  • Admin tasks (internal tools) and Interco entries between the real estate company and the retail company

  • Prepare the mapping of risks

  • Reporting and periodically briefing the UK Property Director

Tax and VAT Expert:

  • Experience reporting to ‘Group Consolidation’  Annual Tax

  • Quarterly calculation and declaration of VAT for our real estate company and for our retail company

  • Monthly declaration of Intrastat

  • Coordinate the relations with auditors, Government Authorities

  • Accompany FBP on Compliance to Local and Group standards with relation to VAT

  • Prepare the mapping of risks

  • Ensure that all accounting records reflect precisely the business reality and adhere to both company standards and local tax and accounting regulations

  • Be a referent in terms of audit & reporting

As UK Financial Expert in Real Estate and Taxes, you will report directly to a UK Finance Manager and work closely with the Property Team.

Location : London Head Office

Salary package : Between £K26 and £K34

Who are you?

  • You love sport and practise it

  • You have an accounting certification (ACCA/CIMA/MBA…..)

  • You have worked 2-3 years in a financial retail environment with a combined background in Real estate , VAT and Corporate Tax

  • You are comfortable using financial tools (Tax Pack, FRP, ICO2, Oxyconso)

  • You are an excellent communicator and have prior experience working with a UK  Government authority (HMRC)

  • You’re open-minded and you’d like to share team spirit with us

Salary: £26,000-£34,000.
